Wenzhou Grand Theatre was designed by Carlos Ott, a Uruguayan architect residing in Canada. Described as a golden fish in a pond for its unique design and a landmark building in Wenzhou, the grand theatre consists of a 1,500-seat theatre, a 640-seat concert hall and a 200-seat multi-functional theatre. The opera house has a building area of 20,000 square meters, and covers a total area of around 36,000 square meters. Because of its unique design and advanced theatre facilities, Wenzhou Grand Theatre is among those top opera houses in China.
